Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
